Ayanna Howard is an electrical engineer and roboticist. Ayanna has worked at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory until starting her own lab and becoming an associate professor at Georgia Tech. Her research group focused on human-automation systems and enhancing the autonomy of robot functionality.

Ayanna’s robotic work has been internally recognized, particularly her SnoMote robots and their ability to study the impact of climate change in remote areas. Ayanna has published over 100 academic papers and received many awards for her career and advocacy for women of color in STEM.
