Serena M. Auñón-Chancellor is a flight surgeon for NASA. Serena was selected as an astronaut by NASA in 2009 and graduated from Astronaut Candidate Training in 2011. Serena spent 2 months in Antartica searching for meteorites and has served as an Aquanaut aboard the Aquarius underwater lab! While in space, Serena and her crew worked on hundreds of experiments studying biology and Earth science aboard the International Space Station, including new cancer treatment methods and algae growth in space!
