Dr. Sara Iverson is the Scientific Director of the Ocean Tracking Network (OTN) and was chosen by Mattel and National Geographic as the role model for their polar marine biologist Barbie! Sara is a biology professor at Dalhousie University. Sara earned her bachelors degree from Duke University before her PhD work in comparative physiological ecology with the University of Maryland and the Smithsonian Institute. Sara’s work focuses on how animals adapt and relate to their environments, and she has earned recognition for her research.
