Aprille Ericsson-Jackson is an Aerospace Engineer and the first African-American to receive a PhD in engineering at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Aprille earned her BS in Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering from Engineering before earning her Masters in Engineering and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University. Aprille helped manage science instruments like the Advanced Topographic Laser Altimeter System (ATLAS) and is currently an aerospace engineer at NASA.
