Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett is leading a team of scientists who began first-stage clinical trials of a COVID-19 vaccine, the first of its kind and the fastest progress toward a possible vaccine for a novel pathogen ever. If Kizzmekia’s team is successful and it’s proved that the team can produce a safe and working vaccine, the vaccine could be ready for use in 2021.
