Katy Croff Bell is a deep-sea explorer who has led dozens of expeditions around the world. Kat is the Founding Director of the Open Ocean Initiative at the MIT Media Lab and a Fellow at the National Geographic Society. Katy earned her bachelor of science in ocean engineering from MIT in 2000, where she worked with Professor David Mindell in the Deepwater Archaeology group.
