#SustainabilitySaturday with Mary Robinson
♻️
Mary Robinson was the first female president of Ireland, a form UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and led her own initiative, the Mary Robinson Foundation—Climate Justice. Mary has advocated for equality, justice, and human rights throughout her career, and hopes to draw attention to how environmental issues have social impacts as well. The Mary Robinson Foundation—Climate Justice identifies seven principles for climate justice and hopes to give a voice to poor and vulnerable communities negatively affected by these environmental concerns. By leading initiatives to tackle climate change and connecting environmental issues to human rights, Mary has helped forge connections to sustainability and activism.
